I’m so excited that preparation for 2011 seniors has already started. I had several apps for reps and I am so pleased with all of them. I absolutely love photographing this age group; they are so much fun, excited for what is to come, and just full of life. They keep me young!  So here is my first rep, Cody, from Howell High School. I met him back when he was in kindergarten with my daughter, Kayla. It is so nice to see how her friends from back then have grown up into young adults. Anyhow, Cody was absolutely so easy to photograph. He has great style, a great look and very smart. He is on the snowboarding team and right before shooting, Cody got a message letting him know that he made individual states. Congrats Cody and I look forward to working with you throughout your senior year!

I enjoyed asking my reps some fun questions to get to know them a little better. Some of their answers surprised me, but in a good way. Enjoy!

I recently had the honor of photographing Leah, an aspiring writer and author. We met  last year and she then told me that when she was ready for her book to be published she would contact me to photograph her for the cover and website. Well, apparently the time has come, and I was so thrilled when she called. She is such a beautiful person, inside and out, and has so much to share with the world. We had so much fun during this session and I have to say it was one of the easiest sessions because she just was a natural in front of the camera. Just look at her gorgeous skin! Leah, I hope you love these as much as I do!  I wish you all the best in your endeavors and thank you for letting me be a small part of your journey.

It’s that time again, where our studio searches for qualifying high school juniors, ready and willing to work for some great perks. We absolutely love photographing SENIORS!! The excitement of your last year in high school, showing off your personality, going crazy – it’s all good! We need some enthusiastic representatives who are willing to get out there and show off some great photos and help friends find us, to photograph them for their own senior photos. If you know of anyone who might be interested, please pass along this information.

What do Senior Model Reps have to do?

Easy! Come in for photos, show them off, pass out some referral cards that give your friends FREE wallets just for booking a senior session with us – that’s pretty much it in a nutshell. We want everyone to have a great experience and want all seniors to be in love with their photos. Just spread the word about Karina G Photography to potential juniors in and around your high school, and if they bring in your referral card with your photo on it, you will receive portrait credit towards your order. Senior pictures can get expensive, so why not help your parents cut down the cost??!! It’s a win-win situation! We need outgoing, friendly and fun JUNIORS, committed to our studio for their senior year. You cannot sign with another studio or photographer, and have to get your photos taken by Karina G Photography. If you are interested, keep reading :)

What are some perks for a Senior Model Rep?

You will receive a free mini-photo session (up to 30 minutes) in February to create images for your referral cards. You will also receive half off of your full senior session fee (session must be held between June 1st and July 31st, and paid for by referral card pick up, in order to receive half off your session). You will get up to 5 websized, watermarked images from your mini-session for you to use as your profile picture on Facebook and/or MySpace (studio logo must remain on the images).  Senior model reps will also receive our popular, custom Karina G Photography “Dare to be Different” t-shirt to wear around town.  The best incentive that our reps receive is a $25 photo credit for each booked referral good towards your final portrait order. This is a fantastic way to help your parents bring the purchase cost down. You just have to really work it! As a final reward, whoever has the most booked referrals by September 1, 2010, will receive a  $150 Visa Giftcard! **A minimum of at least 7 referral bookings mustbe made in order to be eligible for this reward. The rep who gets the booked referrals first will be the deciding factor in case of a tie.

Still reading??? Great! Now, click on the link below to fill out the application. All applications will be reviewed and we will contact you for an interview. Please be sure to talk it over with your parents because they have to sign the contract and model release along with you; and as parents, we LOVE to be included in some of the decision making :)   Click here for the application: http://surveys.polldaddy.com/s/14B00A5A02A11811/

**The deadline to apply is Friday, February 12th.

Karina G Photography will be closed until Friday, January 29th. Please email me, Karina@KarinaGPhotography.com and I will try to get back to you on Friday the 29th. Heading to Disney World with our youngest daughter for a nice, short family trip. Have a great week!

I apologize to anyone who tried to visit our site or blog over the weekend and all day today. My host was trying to switch servers and apparently ran into some problems; hence my site being down for the past couple of days. If you emailed me, please know that I am not ignoring you; I just simply did not get it. Please email me again, or contact me via phone to 517-546-6654. I have the worst luck with web hosts…seriously, I do! Thanks for your patience and sorry for any inconvenience.

Okay, I am throwing this out there, for those last minute folks who waited to get some portraits for the holidays; for those who really wanted to schedule an appointment but just didn’t call. This is for all of you!

It’s Friday about 4:45 pm and I can’t believe I am sending this out, posting this so last minute, but I thought, WHY NOT? So here it goes. Please read the info below and contact me, preferrably by TEXT to 517-518-2590 – why text, because I am actually taking a quick break and going to dinner and to a movie with my family, so I will sneak to read the texts. I won’t be at the office to answer the business line, so text or emails will be best, until after I get back. If you need to talk to me, I won’t be back until after 10pm. You can try to contact me in the morning or ask me via email or text. These mini sessions will be relaxed, casual and fun. Trust me, I am not stuffy or too traditional. Come and act silly, or cuddle with one another; let me capture that moment, so that your family and friends can enjoy it. I will have holiday cards available for you to choose from. My humble little studio cannot hold a huge crowd so PLEASE, only the people being photographed should attend. These sessions are for immediate families up to 5, add one more for $10. Absolutely no other camera’s are allowed.  Mini sessions are 15 minutes, and one package must be purchased and paid for at the session. You can purchase from the a la carte portraits after a package is purchased. I am squeezing these sessions in, so I hope you all enjoy!  When was the last time you had a fun family portrait? How old were your kids when you did? I bet it’s been a while, so don’t wait. Live for the moment and let me capture it!

Give me your name, number of people being photographed (kids and adults), time you’d prefer, email or phone number to text back to or to call. I will then do my best to get back with you asap. I will also then give you my address for tomorrow. TEXT ME AT 517-518-2590   EMAIL ME AT  karina@karinagphotography.com  or call the biz line and leave a message, 517-546-6654, BUT I may not get back to you by phone until first thing in the morning.  Have a great night!
