I apologize to anyone who tried to visit our site or blog over the weekend and all day today. My host was trying to switch servers and apparently ran into some problems; hence my site being down for the past couple of days. If you emailed me, please know that I am not ignoring you; I just simply did not get it. Please email me again, or contact me via phone to 517-546-6654. I have the worst luck with web hosts…seriously, I do! Thanks for your patience and sorry for any inconvenience.

Okay, I am throwing this out there, for those last minute folks who waited to get some portraits for the holidays; for those who really wanted to schedule an appointment but just didn’t call. This is for all of you!

It’s Friday about 4:45 pm and I can’t believe I am sending this out, posting this so last minute, but I thought, WHY NOT? So here it goes. Please read the info below and contact me, preferrably by TEXT to 517-518-2590 – why text, because I am actually taking a quick break and going to dinner and to a movie with my family, so I will sneak to read the texts. I won’t be at the office to answer the business line, so text or emails will be best, until after I get back. If you need to talk to me, I won’t be back until after 10pm. You can try to contact me in the morning or ask me via email or text. These mini sessions will be relaxed, casual and fun. Trust me, I am not stuffy or too traditional. Come and act silly, or cuddle with one another; let me capture that moment, so that your family and friends can enjoy it. I will have holiday cards available for you to choose from. My humble little studio cannot hold a huge crowd so PLEASE, only the people being photographed should attend. These sessions are for immediate families up to 5, add one more for $10. Absolutely no other camera’s are allowed.  Mini sessions are 15 minutes, and one package must be purchased and paid for at the session. You can purchase from the a la carte portraits after a package is purchased. I am squeezing these sessions in, so I hope you all enjoy!  When was the last time you had a fun family portrait? How old were your kids when you did? I bet it’s been a while, so don’t wait. Live for the moment and let me capture it!

Give me your name, number of people being photographed (kids and adults), time you’d prefer, email or phone number to text back to or to call. I will then do my best to get back with you asap. I will also then give you my address for tomorrow. TEXT ME AT 517-518-2590   EMAIL ME AT  karina@karinagphotography.com  or call the biz line and leave a message, 517-546-6654, BUT I may not get back to you by phone until first thing in the morning.  Have a great night!

Mae, Howell High School Senior

September 14, 2009

Long time coming, here is Maegan, a beautiful senior from Howell High School. She is the captain of the soccer team and works very hard at school, as well as on the field. We tried some different shots at her session and I had a blast doing so. Here are a few shots, my favorite being the last one. I love how we played up her sporty side, yet showed off Mae’s feminine side as well. The rest of her session will be revealed this week. Enjoy!

Senior Site is Back Up!

August 24, 2009

I am thrilled that my senior site is back up and running!! YEAH!!!  No more headache for me. Thank you for your patience; that day and a half seemed like a lifetime. So, please go and check it out and I will be updating it soon with new images of recent seniors. Have a great night!

Last night, unfortunately, something happened on the hosting part of my site and my beautiful senior site was wiped clean. A photographer’s Nightmare, let me tell you. As I sit here at 8:20 a.m., I am nervous, angry, sad, and feeling very anxious about this whole mess, but am very hopeful that it will be up and running by tomorrow. I do have all the galleries saved, thankfully, but the whole site itself, with all the technical mumbo jumbo that goes along with it, I do not, because it is being held captive by the site template designer. Yet, a 911 email has been sent to them in hopes they will be able to restore it. I have had issues with hosts in the past, and I thought I had found the one, but as you can see, I have not. So, I ask for your patience during this temporary blackout. I know there are some of you who have galleries in there and I promise they are still there, we just have to wait to see when the site can be restored. Their site says they are open Mon-Friday, but I am hoping somebody does work the weekend shift and will respond to my 911 Site Down shout out.

I have had some awesome sessions lately, and have been plugging away at them night after night. If you are interested in booking a senior session, please contact me via email at karina@karinagphotography.com or at 517-546-6654. I have a couple of openings for the third and fourth week of September available, or in October.

Again, I appreciate your patience and understanding. I am doing everything I can not to pull my hair out. I am off to continue proofing before my youngest is up and about ready to do more school shopping. Wish me luck all the way around today, please.

Photographing Hannah was such a pleasure. She is such a down to earth young lady and so real. I was so pleased when she and her mother said they were open to anything I had in mind. I really wanted to shoot out in my field and she was just the right person to do this with. I was so pleased on the outcome and I hope Hannah approves. Thank you for your patience and kindness. Here is your sneak peek. I will have the whole session to you hopefully by the end of next week. Enjoy!

That first one is absolutely stunning.

Derek is one of Karina G Photography’s senior model reps. He is very talented and plays varsity tennis and baseball. Derek recently found out that he was named to the All-State Academic Baseball Team for Division II. Congratulations! We had fun at his session regardless of the mystery animal in the bushes; thanks for putting up with my whimpiness. Enjoy the sneak peek; the rest will be ready this upcoming week.

I threw some texture on the photo above and liked how it turned out. Hope you do too.

Love the texture added to the first one.

Congrats to Derek on being named to the All State Academic Baseball Team–Way to go!

The long awaited sneak peek. I have been so busy photographing seniors and with that comes proofing; and I have a lot of it. But I am not complaining, not at all. I LOVE MY JOB!  I knew Fred’s photos were going to be “cool” because I just loved shooting at the football field. It was HOT, but he was so easy to photograph. Thanks for making my job easy, Fred, and I hope you are up and around soon!

August Fully Booked!

August 14, 2009

I am now fully booked for the month of August, and am scheduling for September and October. September is on its way to being full, so act now and book your session; especially you high school seniors. Most schools have a yearbook deadline at the end of October, so booking now would give you ample time for the cut off.  Plan ahead and schedule now because proudly, I only take a very limited amount of sessions per month in order to keep the quality of each session and photos up to par.

I have had so much fun photographing upcoming seniors and have been so busy proofing sessions. I will do my best to update the blog with current photos, just please be patient with me. Sneak peeks are on their way. Right now however, I am off to the waterpark with my Bella and her bff, to enjoy the water and sun. Have a great afternoon!
